Reports in England say that Villarreal striker Giuseppe Rossi is attracting the attention of Tottenham Hotspur. Rossi has a buy-out clause in his contract worth around €40m (£33m) but Villarreal are said to be willing to accept half that for a player who only has 18 months left on his deal.
Rossi, who spent three years at Manchester United, is showing no signs of agreeing to a new deal with Villarreal, and will certainly be sold during the summer as Villarreal try and get something for the player.
The only decision is whether Spurs think they can add a forward now who is not Champions League cup-tied or whether they wait and get the player in the summer for maybe €8 or €10m?
I hope we can get him. He would start for us next season, maybe alongside Milito. He would also let us send Castaignos on loan and help him get time in Serie A. Muriel and Castaignos will be very good for Inter in the future.
