According to media reports, Eden Hazard is ready to hand in a transfer request in order to force a move to Real Madrid.
The Chelsea talisman is understood to be frustrated that there has not been any significant progress in his potential move to the Santiago Bernabeu.
Marina Granovskaia, director of the Stamford Bridge club, remains hopeful of keeping the Belgian international and is asking for £98million according to AS.
Hazard’s contract expires in 2020 so if a deal is not reached in the upcoming transfer window he could leave for free the following summer.
The 28-year-old appeared to drop another hint he will be leaving the Blues this summer, after footage emerged of him reacting negatively to supporters asking him to remain at Stamford Bridge.
A fan has uploaded to social media site Instagram, publishing a clip which shows a group of supporters pulling up alongside Hazard’s car in traffic.
The group shout to the Belgian, and essentially beg him to ‘stay at Chelsea, stay at Chelsea.’
Despite the footage being rather grainy, Hazard can be seen to give a little shake of the head along with a grin, before driving off.
It is unknown whether the footage was captured recently – following Chelsea’s 3-0 victory over Watford – or whether it was slightly earlier in the campaign.
Hazard could play his final match at Stamford Bridge against Frankfurt in the second leg of Chelsea’s Europa League semi-final on Thursday.
