Atletico Madrid striker Sergio Aguero has refused to rule out a move away from the Spanish club at the end of the season.
But the former Independiente star said his decision on whether to stay does not depend on qualification for next season’s Champions League.
“The club, the fans and the media know that I want to stay, even if nobody knows what can happen,” the Argentina international, who has been linked with Internazionale, said. Whether I stay or not does not depend on whether the team is in the Champions League,” he added. “But we’ll also have to see if the club needs a transfer at the end of the season.”
Aguero, 20, has scored over 50 goals for Atletico since joining in 2006. Los Rojoblancos lie sixth in La Liga, five points off the Champions League places with nine games remaining.
