A survey of over close to 10,000 fans run by the Mirror newspaper of football fans showed a change in the most hated club category.
Traditionally Manchester United have notoriously been the most disliked team in the Premier League but the 2016 statistics show that more people now show hate to Chelsea.
Not to fret United fans. You just slipped to second place. Liverpool are in third spot followed by Manchester City and then Arsenal to complete the top five.
At the other end of the table, Bournemouth came bottom of the list, making them the division’s least hated club. Leicester were second, proving that success alone isn’t enough to make rival fans hate your side with Watford, Southampton and Burnley came next.
Interesting that the table reflects a traditional Premier League table, where everyone hates their title contending, Champions League chasing rivals.
