Victor Valdes To Miss Arsenal Champions League Match

Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes is expected to miss the crucial Champions League match against Arsenal after injuring his knee in training over the weekend.

The early indication is that Valdes will be out of action for between three to four weeks .

Valdes injured his left knee training ahead of the weekend game against Athletic Bilbao.
Valdes is set to miss the Champions League return leg against Arsenal on March 8. Barcelona needs to overturn a 2-1 defeat from the first leg in order to make it to the quarter finals of the competition, they last won in 2009.
Barce center-half  Gerard Piqué will also miss the Arsenal game due to suspension, while Carles Puyol is another injury doubt as he tries and recovers from an injured knee.
Substitute keeper Jose Manuel Pinto will step into Valdes’ shoes while B-team keeper Oier Olazabal will be substitute until Valdes recovers.
