This week, Paul Pogba became the world’s most expensive player after he finalized his €105 million move from Juventus to Manchester United.
Along with the £90m transfer fee, there are reportedly £5m in bonuses that United will have to pay based on future success.
In addition, Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola received a huge fee for finalizing the deal, believed to be €25m. Juventus are reportedly paying £20m of Raiola’s fee with United picking up the tab for the other £5m.
But, according to Yahoo, perhaps the most surprising stipulation of the switch is the one which sees Juventus pay Pogba £4.5 million to help find a house in Manchester.
Around £1.5million will go to Pogba’s previous clubs Le Havre, Torcy and Roissy-en-Brie, for their role in Pogba’s development.
When you add in the fees to Raiola, Pogba and the youth clubs, Juventus will make about £64 million from selling Pogba. A nice profit on the £800,000 they had to pay to get him, but still a lot less than most people would expect considering it was a world record fee.
Pogba could make his second United debut when the Red Devils travel to Bournemouth for their Premier League opener on Sunday.
Pogba, who scored eight goals in 35 games for the Bianconeri last season, has taken the No.6 shirt at Old Trafford.
