With Olivier Giroud in a rich vein of goalscoring form, we took a closer look at his performances for Arsenal from the last 3 Premier League seasons.
When Giroud arrived at Arsenal, the knock on him was that he was not clinical enough in front of goal to be considered a top striker. His conversion rate of 10.3% in 2012/13 was average at best.
But to his credit Giroud has obviously worked very hard on the training ground on his finishing, and his conversion rate of 24.6% this years is similar to what Liverpool striker Luis Suárez achieved last season.
If Giroud had not missed three months of the season due to injury, it might be Giroud winning the Premier League Player of the Year award and not Edin Hazard.
