Tottenham have set off for their tour of the US and International Champions Cup opener against Roma and Christian Eriksen, Erik Lamela and Serge Aurier were among the players heading to preseason in the USA.
World Cup stars such as Eriksen and Son Heung-min have rejoined the squad but a number of players remain absent.
The English and Belgian contingent have been afforded some extra rest to allow their tired bodies a chance to recuperate ahead of the new season.
Harry Kane, Kieran Trippier, Dele Alli, Eric Dier and Danny Rose were in Gareth Southgate’s squad, while Mousa Dembele, Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld starred for the Red Devils.
Those who have made the trip to the US will have three days to acclimatise and shake off jet-lag before playing Roma.
Spurs face the Italian side on July 25 in San Diego and will stay in California to play Barcelona followed by AC Milan in Los Angeles.
They will then have one more pre-season game, putting the finishing touches to preparations for the new campaign against Girona on August 4.
