Veteran striker Andriy Shevchenko is determined to try and end his illustrious career with AC Milan. The 32-year-old Ukraine international is currently on a season-long loan with the Rossoneri, having returned to Italy after an unsuccessful move to England to join Chelsea.
Shevchenko told Datasport:
“If you want to know my future you have to talk to Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich. I don’t consider myself to be an ex-Milan player yet. I am feeling good physically and I want to finish my career here.My objective is to get back to my best, so that I can play at the highest level.”
AC Milan’s Brazilian superstar Kaka has again insisted that he has no desire to leave the San Siro at the end of the season.
The 27-year-old, who came close to joining Manchester City in January, has been linked with both Manchester United and Real Madrid in recent times, but is adamant that he has no desire to move on.
He told Aujourd’hui Sports:
“Milan are a great club, I still believe in this project. I repeat I am under contract until 2013 and I want to fulfil it unless Milan make another decision. If there is anything concrete we will see. Meanwhile, I have no talks with anyone and I don’t ask for anything. I have experienced a very important period in my life, which made me understand what Milan means to me. I am convinced I will have again opportunities to win titles at Milan.”
Meanwhile, midfielder Massimo Ambrosini is staying at the San Siro, according to his agent. Earlier in the season, Ambrosini had cast doubt on his future with the Rossoneri after growing frustrated at a lack of new contract talks and had been linked with a move to Fiorentina.
However, the situation has now improved, according to agent Moreno Roggi, who told Radio Blu:
“I’m pretty sure that Max will renew with Milan once again. I believe that the Rossoneri will not let go of a player like him. It’s true that his contract was short, but every time we find the conditions to renew it. I don’t think his transfer to Fiorentina this summer is plausible, the conditions do not exist.”
Ambrosini, who has made over 350 appearances in his 14 years with the club, is contracted to Milan until the end of next season.
