Alexis Sanchez has threatened to never pull on an Arsenal shirt ever again after a deadline day move to Manchester City fell through.
According to Goal, City reportedly agreed a fee for the Chilean forward on deadline day, but Arsenal pulled it back at the last minute after their deal for Monaco’s Thomas Lemar fell through.
Sanchez has repeatedly told Arsene Wenger that he has no intention of signing a new deal at the club and he wanted to be sold to Man City.
He is reported to be furious and devastated that a deal was not made between the two clubs.
Though both City and Arsenal have attempted to blame each other for Thursday’s shambles, both Alexis and his agent, Fernando Felicevich, believe the Londoners are in the wrong.
Members of the forward’s inner circle have told Goal that he does not believe Arsenal have what it takes to compete at the top level, that he feels they have “messed around” with his future, and that he has no motivation to play for them
And City staff witnessed first-hand the anger of agent Felicevich on Thursday evening when he colourfully told both clubs that he would “not forget” Arsenal’s role in the day’s events.
With one year left on his current contract, Sanchez would be able to negotiate pre-contract agreements in January with clubs outside of England.
