Real Madrid superstar Cristano Ronaldo has topped off an incredible year by winning FIFA’s inaugural best Player Award.
You can debate whether Ronaldo or Lionel Messi is the better player, but their is no denying that CR7 had the better 2016. Just look at what Ronaldo won:

Most players would be ecstatic to have a career like Ronaldo’s last 12 months, but the Real Madrid player says he continue work on improving his game:
“I dreamt of being the best and now I’ve achieved it,” he said at the ceremony.
“It was the best year of my career.”
“Winning the Euro with Portugal was the height of my career.
“I have no doubt that I’m a part of football history.”
“To win ‘The Best’ is a privilege and winning the first one is special.
“People can see how nervous I was on the sideline during the Euro final – the images speak for themselves.
“It was a glorious day.
“As for what 2017 has in store, the Madrid star was hungry for more.
“There are a lot of challenges that remain, trophies to win and goals to score,” he concluded.
