Roma have had a largely disappointing season and risk missing out on the Champions League for the next campaign. Injuries have played their part in the Giallorossi’s troubles and the club are aiming to bring in several reinforcements during the summer, according to the Gazzetta dello Sport.
Udinese winger Simone Pepe and Inter striker Julio Cruz have been targeted. Pepe has worked his way onto the Italian national team this season, while the Argentine forward has been surplus to requirements for the Nerazzurri.
Meanwhile, Roma are also considering a bid for Palermo defender Moris Carrozzieri, who has impressed for the Sicilian outfit.
However, the newest name on the list is PSV star Ibrahim Afellay. The Dutch international is apparently ready to make the move to a bigger club, according to agent Alberto Faccini and Roma now seem a valid possibility after Faccini was seen at Trigoria. However, he denied he was there for negotiations regarding the 23-year-old.
