It looks like Barcelona are going to admit they made a very expensive mistake last summer when they signed Zlatan Ibrahimovic from Inter Milan. Barca paid £40m for the striker plus Samuel Eto’o. That is a lot of money for a player who failed to impress in his first season at the Nou Camp.
So how does Barca get rid of such an expensive mistake? By selling him to another team who made a similar error.
Manchester City signed Robinho from Real Madrid for a British record fee of £32.5m. Robinho was such a failure that Man City paid for him to go play for Santos last season, after he failed to impress City’s new boss Roberto Mancini.
Robinho’s agent will be in Manchester next week to talk with City’s representatives about where Robinho will be playing next season:
“We have a meeting with City on the 16th. I will travel to Manchester with Gilvan de Souza (Robinho’s father) and we will look at the situation with Robinho,” said Evandro de Souza. We know that City are looking for a club for Robinho.”
Robinho would be a much better fit for Barcelona’s fluid style of football than Ibra was. If Barca can get Robinho plus £10m for Ibra I believe that they will take that deal. What do you think?
