Real Madrid remain confident that they can prise Cristiano Ronaldo away from Manchester United this summer.
In what was the longest running transfer saga of lasgt summer, Ronaldo came close to a move to the Spanish capital last summer before deciding to stay at Old Trafford.
Real are refusing to give up on their quest to sign the star in a transfer that would smash the £48million world record fee they paid for Zinedine Zidane.
Interim president Vicente Boluda reckons they will eventually lure Ronaldo to Spain.
Boluda, who replaced Ramon Calderon at the Bernabeu until the next elections, will be fighting former president Florentino Perez for the job full time when the vote is held in the summer.
Both are expected to make signing Ronaldo a priority and Boluda said: ‘I’m convinced that we’ll be able to see him (Ronaldo) at the Bernabeu.’
United have already denied claims that there is a secret agreement to sell Ronaldo to Real in the summer and will be infuriated by further public courting of their star player.
Will Ronaldo go to Real Madrid this summer or will he stay at United?
