After revealing that David Beckham will not be joining the club, Paris Saint-Germain have now turned their attention on Brazil internationals Alexandre Pato and Kaka, according to reports in France.
AFP says it has been told by sources close to PSG owners Qatar Sports Investments that the club are ready to continue their extensive investment over the past 12 months by spending 61.5 million euros on the two players.
Both Pato and Kaka, who played under new PSG manager Carlo Ancelotti at AC Milan, have been linked with the club before but AFP reports initial approaches are being made.
Pato who has recently hinted at a strained relationship with coach Massimiliano Allegri, is valued at around 38m euro’s by PSG. The striker, who is still just 22, has scored 51 goals in 110 Serie A appearances for the Rossoneri. Not sure if 38m euro will get the deal done for PSG. They might have to go up to 40m.
If Pato is sold to PSG, then I would expect Milan to immediately turn-around and offer Manchester City 25m euro for Carlos Tevez, as an immediate replacement for Pato.
