Jose Mourinho says Manchester United will not be selling any of the senior squad in the last days of the summer transfer window.
There have been clubs interested in certain players at Old Trafford, and with question marks over the futures of several players, it’s surprising that no one will be sold.
Matteo Darmian has been the one attracting most attention and has been the subject of speculation this year after failing to hold down a place in the team, however, Mourinho has confirmed he won’t be letting any of his players leave this month.
“The players that I have in the squad nobody is in doubt. We are very very objective with them,” he said.
“We are very face to face so the players are not in this risk of maybe my manager in the last day of the market is going to say that he doesn’t want me. No. Everybody here knows the situation well.
“Even Tim Fosu Mensah (who was loaned out to Crystal Palace for the season before the campaign kicked off), we accept to do it before the first match of the season. So we are in a stable situation.”
The side are in a good place and with two dominating performances to kick off the new campaign, are on the road to proving they have what it takes to win the Premier League this season.
Mourinho does have a few players but it’s not a bad place to be in as he’s now able to rotate players to challenge on different fronts.
