Lucio has defended himself against criticism from Inter fans this week and explained why he left the Nerazzurri this summer.
Earlier this summer, the defender rescinded his contract with the Milan club before then signing with rivals Juventus within a week.
His recent comments as a Bianconero drew criticism from former Inter colleagues and has resulted in the Brazilian today taking to Twitter to claim that he was forced out of San Siro earlier than he had planned.
“I say to all the Inter fans who follow me that I hope they understand my choice,” he posted.
“I have to leave Inter for internal issues. Life must continue, however, this is the life of a footballer.
“I’m still proud to have been part of a team that won the Champions League after 45 years, now I’ll be at Juve and the same as how I wore the Inter shirt for three years.
“I’m happy with this new phase of my life.”
