Cagliari Calcio delivered a serious blow to Juventus’s chances of battling Inter Milan for this season’s Serie A title as Alessandro Matri found the target 17 minutes from the end to earn them a 3-2 win in Turin.
Cagliari struck first through Davide Biondini, but Juventus had turned things around by the break with Mohamed Sissoko and Pavel Nedvěd making it 2-1 to the side placed second in the Italian table. However, Brazilian forward Jeda made it 2-2 just nine minutes into the second half, setting the 24-year-old Matri up to win the game for the visitors. SSC Napoli, meanwhile, found their ambitions checked by Udinese Calcio. Two goals in three minutes from Ezequiel Lavezzi and Marek Hamšík saw Edoardo Reja’s side streak ahead against Udinese, but an Antonio Di Natale penalty and Fabio Quagliarelli’s strike levelled the scores at 2-2.
