Juventus have signed Netherlands international winger Eljero Elia from Hamburg for a reported £8 million. Elia has signed a four-year contract with the Turin club.
“I know a lot about Juventus,” Elia said on the club’s official website. “This is the biggest club in Italy. For me it was very important that the coach [Antonio Conte] wanted me in making this decision. I want to show what I can do. “I know I can bring speed and skill to Juventus, and I hope to score a lot of goals.”
It has been a busy offseason in Turin as Conte has been working hard to retool a side that had a very disappointing season last year. In addition to Elia, Juve have also brought in Andrea Pirlo, Arturo Vidal and Mirko Vucinic among others.
