Juventus president Giovanni Cobolli Gigli will sell David Trezeguet – for the right price.
The 31-year-old former France international has been linked with a return to his homeland to join Marseille or Lyon, and Cobolli Gigli has done little to quash such speculation. He said:
“If an interesting offer came along we could sell him.”
On the subject of who will coach the Old Lady next term, Cobolli Gigli gave little away but hinted it is likely to be a young, up-and-coming candidate.
“I repeat, (Juve chief executive) Jean-Claude Blanc has many names in his head and there is one that is more likely. For the moment, we are focused on young coaches unless something jumps out next week.”
Ciro Ferrara replaced the sacked Claudio Ranieri at the helm earlier this month and hopes to convince club executives he is the right man to guide the Turin giants next season.
