Joe Hart To Return To Premier League After Season

Manchester City stopper Joe Hart is unlikely to make a permanent move to Torino as a result of the Serie A side being unable to afford his high wages, club president Urbano Cairo has confirmed.

Hart became the first England goalkeeper to play in Italy after being told by Pep Guardiola he is no longer part of plans at the Etihad Stadium, following the arrival of former Barcelona star Claudio Bravo.

But it now appears that Hart’s spell in Serie A will soon come to an end after Cairo admitted his side are enjoying having the England keeper, but will not be able to retain his services.

‘We will enjoy Hart and cuddle him, but we know he is not our player and his wages are not accessible for us,’ Cairo told La Stampa.

‘We will see what we are going to do in June,’ he added.

Torino supporters have taken warmly to Hart, who has played an influential role since swapping England for the warmer Italian climate.

The Turin-based side sit eighth in Serie A after 18 matches, Hart playing in 16 of those games as his side push for a Europa League spot.

The news may provide some encourage to Liverpool, who are among the teams linked with the services of Hart. Jurgen Klopp’s side are reported to be monitoring the situation, with the goalkeeping situation on Merseyside one story which will never die.

Loris Karius was brought in with the idea of replacing Simon Mignolet at Anfield, but the young German failed to make an impact and a spate of erratic performances since soon served to put fans on edge.

Hart is believed to favour a return to the Premier League, with hopes of retaining his spot as England’s No 1 stopper.
