Sergio Aguero’s agent has started to talk up the possibility of a move to Juventus this summer.
Aguero has been linked with a move to many of the biggest names in Europe this summer, but it appears that Real Madrid and Juventus are the front-runners for the Atletico Madrid star.
Juve have promised a big name signing this summer and Aguero fits the bill, even if his €45 million price tag is at the high end of what Juventus are willing to pay.
Aguero’s agent Bruno Satin believes a move to Turin is a real possibility telling Tuttosport:
“Contact with the Bianconeri has been constant. Aguero wants to move to a big club and Juventus fits this profile. We are aware of the club’s rejuvenation plans but that isn’t enough to impede an agreement. The chances of seeing Aguero wear the Juve jersey are concrete.”
Former Atletico Madrid winger Paulo Futre believes Aguero is unlikely to join Real Madrid due to the rivalry between the two clubs:
“It is very hard to imagine Aguero moving to Real Madrid,” Futre told El Mundo Deportivo. “There still exists a huge rivalry with the Atletico fans and they would not like to see the transfer materialise.”
Aguero is playing for Argentina in the Copa America, which begins on July 1, so any transfer will not be completed until sometime in August.
