Luka Modric appears close to a move to Real Madrid from England’s Tottenham Hotspur according to reports in England.
Sources close to Modric have told the Daily Mirror that the Croatian midfielder has agreed personal terms on a four-year deal with Jose Mourinho’s La Liga champions.
The source said the newspaper:
“Everything has been resolved satisfactorily.
“Luka and Madrid agree on everything. The only problem is the position of Tottenham, which has made things a little more difficult .
“But everything will be solved. And, more importantly, it will be resolved quickly.”
Real are said to value Modric at around £28million, which is considerably below Spurs value of the player and could potentially allow someone like Paris St-Germain to come in with the £35m that Tottenham are looking for.
But unless that happens, expect Modric to be a Real Madrid player at this time next week.
