A report in Gazzetta dello Sport says that Christian Vieri is on his way to the U.S. to try out for the Los Angeles Galaxy team. Note that late Tuesday the LA Galaxy said it is not true that Vieri is having a trial with the Galaxy.
The 35-year-old Italian forward has just terminated his contract with Atalanta and he reportedly got some help from his Galaxy (and AC Milan) player David Beckham is setting up a meeting with the Galaxy/
Reports in Italy say that Vieri has already flown to the US.
Vieri has played for 13 teams in a career that began in 1991 and took him to Spain with Atletico Madrid and France where he played for Monaco. He played for Italy’s three biggest teams and had his best season in 2002-03 when he scored 24 goals in 23 league matches for Inter.
What do you think Galaxy fans? Is this a good move by the Galaxy?
