Antonio Cassano and Rodrigo Palacio struck the goals as Inter Milan kept themselves close to the Serie A summit with a fourth consecutive league win, beating Catania 2-0.
The victory cemented Andrea Stramaccioni’s side in fourth spot, four points behind leaders Juventus, who earned a decisive 2-0 success against second-placed Napoli on Saturday. Cassano headed in Esteban Cambiasso’s cross at the back post in the 28th minute, before Palacio’s superb volley sealed the points for the Nerazzurri with five minutes remaining.

Udinese earned only their second win of the season at home to Pescara, making light of Danilo’s first-half dismissal to prevail 1-0 thanks to Maicosuel’s close-range effort.
As for Parma, they inflicted a third straight defeat on ten-man Sampdoria as Amauri struck either side of the interval, his first from the spot, to clinch a 2-1 win and a first success in six for the hosts.
Giacomo Bonaventura scored the winner as Atalanta defeated bottom club Siena 2-1 to climb up to 13th, while Cagliari jumped above Bologna thanks to a 1-0 home win against the Rossoblù. Chievo Verona drew 1-1 with Fiorentina, and the match between struggling Palermo and Torino ended goalless.
