Bad news for Barcelona today as they revealed that striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic will miss this weekend’s game against Athletic Bilbao due to a hamstring injury.
Barcelona says the injury was discovered following medical tests Thursday after the Sweden striker felt discomfort on Wednesday. Ibrahimovic hurt the muscle toward the end of a 4-2 win over Mallorca on Nov. 7.
Barca will be hoping for a quick recovery from Ibra as they have a huge Champions League match against Ibrahimovic’s former team Inter Milan on Tuesday and that is followed by the “clasico” against Real Madrid next weekend.
Ibrahimovic has scored eight goals in 13 games for the European champions after his summer mover from Inter.
