Hazard Refuses To Commit Future To Chelsea

Eden Hazard has told Chelsea to sign the players who will turn them into Premier League title contenders next season or forget about him committing to a new contract.

Hazard, who is valued at around £200million and wanted by Real Madrid, has stalled on signing a new deal despite the Blues’ willingness to pay him £300,000 per week.

Chelsea finished fifth in the league – 30 points off champions Man

That will be the club’s last chance of silverware this season and Hazard has issued an ultimatum, saying he wants proof of their ambitions before putting pen to paper.

On what it will take for him to commit his future to Chelsea, Hazard said:

‘I’m waiting for new players next season. We’ll see.

‘I want good players, because I want to win next season the Premier League. A lot of things. We will see.’ Hazard’s current contract runs until 2020. Now 27 years old, this could be his last big deal and the Belgian continued: ‘That’s why I’m taking my time.. It’s something big. I need to think of a lot of things. One thing for sure is I’m happy here.

‘To play Champions League next season is important. To win trophies also. We want to do it. We want to play Champions League next season and win trophies. That’s it.chester City – and face Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United in the FA Cup final at Wembley on Saturday.

‘So if we can’t have one, we need the other. We can’t be in the Champions League next season so we need to win trophies. That’s it.

‘I say many times before I think it is not my last game. It’s the last game of the season, that’s it. After the World Cup then we will be ready for the next season.

‘But for me, in my mind, I’m here, I have one week to play now. Saturday is a massive game. I just want to win for me and them also.’

Antonio Conte is in line to leave Chelsea this summer, regardless of the result at Wembley this weekend. The Italian has found his future constantly called into question this season.

‘We don’t think about that,’ added Hazard, who started in Chelsea’s 3-0 defeat by Newcastle on the final day of the season. ‘We are just focusing on the game now.

We have one game to play and then we will see what happens at the end of the season or for the new season.

‘We (the players) give everything. We just lose games that last year we didn’t lose. It is that simple. When you play for Chelsea you know the job. So, yes, it was a bad season.

‘Trophies are important. FA Cup, League Cup, Premier League, Champions League. And it’s more important for me because I’ve never won this one. That’s why I want to win.

‘I need two more trophies – Champions League and FA Cup.’
