Giuseppe Rossi’s agent Federico Pastorello says that the striker will stay at Villarreal and will not make his much anticipated move to Juventus.
Like most La Liga teams, Villarreal are in serious debt, but the sale of playmaker Santi Cazorla to Malaga for €19 million has eased their financial worries, and as a result they don’t need to sell Rossi. and it seems this has encouraged them to keep hold of their Italy international forward.
Pastorello told Sky Italia:
“Giuseppe Rossi has officially been taken off the market after they sold Santi Cazorla to Malaga. The economical problems which the club had have now been resolved by that transfer. Nevertheless, this decision has liberated Rossi as he’s now just focusing on playing football and scoring goals. He’s not used to being at the centre of such negotiations and tension. He wanted Juventus, but he’s accepted the position taken by the president of Villarreal.”
Big blow for Juve. They need a top striker and Rossi obviously wanted to move to Turin.
