Crazy story in England’s Daily Mirror on Sunday that Inter Milan manager Roberto Mancini was to sign Chelsea’s out-of-form Player of the Year Eden Hazar.
According to the newspaper the 24-year-old Belgium international has emerged as an ambitious target for the Nerazzurri, who currently lie second in Serie A after an impressive start to the season.
They continue to add that Inter appear to be re-establishing themselves as a major force in European football once more, under the stewardship of Mancini and with the financial aid of billionaire Erick Thohir, they could part with £75 million to persuade Chelsea into a sale, per the report.
Lets stop this nonsense right there. Inter do not have £75 million (€106m) to spend on anyone. The Nerazzurri lost €74 million last season, are on on Fifa’s Financial Fair Play watchlist. Even is they qualify for the Champions League next season, most of that money has already been allocated to pay for this summer’s signings.
If Chelsea are to sell Hazard, it will probably be to Spain or France, where Barcelona, Real Madrid and PSG can all afford that kind of transfer fee and wages.
Do you think Chelsea will sell Hazard next summer?
