Gazzetta dello Sport is reporting that Juventus are in talks with former Chelsea star Didier Drogba about joining the Italian champions in January.
Drogba is set to leave Chinese side Shanghai Shenhua as that failed experiment comes to a close due to the Chinese sides financial uncertainty.
Juve were linked with Drogba in the summer and are still interested in signing him when he returns from the Africa Cup of Nations in late January.
The one potential stumbling block is that Juve have only offered the soon to be 34-year-old an 18-month contract, while Drogba wants a 2 1/2 year deal through June 2015, when he will be 37.
Juve are reported to be willing to pay Drogba around €4 million (after tax) a season plus bonuses, an offer the striker is said to be ‘considering the offer carefully’.
That is also the wages that Juventus have reportedly offered Athletic Bilbao striker Fernando Llorente who is expected to join Juventus on a Bosman this summer.
