Atletico Madrid goalkeeper David De Gea has reiterated his desire to remain at the club for the long-term. The 20-year-old goalkeeper has been brilliant this season and has been strongly linked with a move to Premier League giants Manchester United.
But De Gea, who is on the verge of a call-up to the Spain squad, insists he is happy at Atletico.
“I am very comfortable here, this has always been my club, and I want to defend this shirt for a long time and win titles,” he told AS. “The club is in charge but I am very happy here, and when things go well there is no need to change. The Champions League is the main thing, and we also have the cup competition, which is very nice, and so we will like to get as far as possible.”
Atletico are currently sixth in La Liga and have the chance to move further up the table when they take on Racing Santander on Monday.
