Manchester City has signed West ham forward Craig Bellamy for a reported £14million, made up by a £12m up-front payment plus £2m in add-ons. This is a good bit of business for West Ham who signed Bellamy from Liverpool for £7.5 million in July 2007.
If Man City are able to sign their top two targets (Kaka and Santa Cruz) then Bellamy better get used to watching the game form the bench as that is where he will be. In their preferred line up of SWP, Ireland, Kaka and Robinho all playing behind Santa Cruz, there is no room for another small forward like Bellamy.
Yes he gives the bench some much needed depth, but I don’t expect him to be playing unless there is an injury or players are rested.
If you are a Man City fan, is Bellamy a good signing?
