Report in the Daily Mail today suggests that Orlando City are interested in signing Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez this summer.
United will sell Hernandez this summer, and Orlando City SC feel that the Mexico international would be a big draw both on and off the pitch.
Hernandez has spent the season watching from the sidelines as he has been unable to break into the Real Madrid lineup this season. After bank-yo-back seasons where e rarely played, the 26-year-old striker is desperate to go somewhere where he can play on a a regular basis.
According to the newspapers, Premier League clubs Southampton, Stoke, West Ham and Everton are all interested in the United striker, whose value is around £8 million.
Hernandez will also have offers from Italy and Germany, but signing him would be a big move for Orlandi and Major League Soccer. At his best Chicharito is a terrific goalscorer and with Kaka creating chances you would expect that Hernandez would be a 20 goal scorer in Orlando. Plus at 26, he is still in the prime of his career, meaning that he could be a fixture in MLS for years to come.
