According to reports in the UK ad Italy, Chelsea have had a offer of £69m (€95m) for Paul Pogba turned down by Juventus.
According to Sky Sport Italia Juventus have no intention of selling the 22-year-old midfielder this season and after giving Pogba their iconic Number 10 jersey they intend to build their team around the Frenchman.
Barcelona had previously been considered the hot favourites to tempt Pogba away, but their attempts were also rebuffed.
All indications are that Pogba will head to Barcelona next summer, he did not want to miss the first half of the season, but what might work in Chelsea’s favor is that Juve boss Massimiliano Allegri is said to be interested in Chelsea winger Juan Cuadrado and midfielder Oscar – but Chelsea are reportedly reluctant to sell the Brazilian.
Chelsea have done a fantastic job in recent transfer windows of strengthening their side while making a profit in the transfer market. With the signings this week of Barcelona forward Pedro for £21.4m deal and Augsberg defender Baba Rahman for £21m, plus the expected arrival of Everton defender John Stones for £40m I cannot see Chelsea spending another £70m+ on Pogba.
If anything I see Chelsea looking to see a couple of big names in the next week to balance that recent purchases.
Do you think Paul Pogba will end up at Chelsea?
