United States striker Charlie Davies has left hospital nearly a month after being involved in a fatal car accident.
Davies, who plays for French side Sochaux, broke bones in his right leg and suffered a lacerated bladder and is almost certainly sure to miss next summers World Cup Finals in Sputh Africa as his injuries are expected to take to 12 months to recover from.
Dr James DeBritz of Washington Hospital Center said Davies would need extensive physical therapy to recover from his injuries, and would do rehabilitation work with national team staff.
