Udinese’s most wanted man, Alexis Sanchez, looks really set to leave the Friulani after the club’s president, Franco Soldati, revealed that the Chilean have been approached by several teams and serious talks have even been done especially with the likes of Barcelona and Juventus.
Soldati revealed that at the moment the Catalan giant are the closest one that could get their hands on the Zebra’s prize assets as the president hinted about the involvement of players exchange aside from cash for the deal.
There are many clubs interested in our players. What I read in the newspapers is true, as everything revolves around the economic aspect and the players offered in part-exchange.There are also some English sides looking at Sanchez, as Manchester City and United have been tracking him all year. So have Barcelona and at this moment they are the favourites ahead of Juventus,” Soldati revealed.
Rumors from the press suggested that Barcelona are offering cash in the range of 27 million Euro with the addition of a player, possibly one of the Catalan club’s highly rated youngster such as Jeffren or Thiago Alcantara. However, negotiation seems still on going and there are no clarity as just yet because the current Champions League winner reportedly are considering to purchase Giussepe Rossi, which might be an alternative aside from Sanchez.
Soldati report would probably makes many Italian football fans and also Udinese’s tifosi dissapointed as the sale of Sanchez would make last season’s fourth place team in Serie A weaker compared to this season. With the Champions League football arriving next summer, giving away one of their most important star pretty much shows the lack of ambition that the Bianconeri have in at least competing as far as they could in Europe and also competing again in the league.
