Allegri Unsure Of His Future In Milan

AC Milan manager Massimiliano Allegri says that he expects his side to start firing on all cylinders soon but admits he does not know if he will will still coach when that happens.

The Rossoneri have picked up only seven points in their first eight Serie A games to leave them  in 15th place in the league, just outside the relegation zone.

Speaking to Mediaset after the Champions League defeat to Malaga, Allegri said:

“I haven’t spoken to anyone after the game, but the President called me today [Wednesday].

“We all know we are in a difficult moment, I am the first to realise that, but I also say this team will recover due to the efforts they are putting in.

“We’re still in second place in the Champions League group and must now focus on Genoa, who have changed Coach and brought in Gigi Del Neri.

“Will I be on the bench on Saturday? You’d have to ask the club.

“I am disappointed with the result considering what the lads did, but Milan do not deserve this position in the table.

“How do we get out of this? We beat Genoa on Saturday. It’s the only course of action.”

Milan have lost their last three games in all competitions and can find themselves in the relegation zone if this weekend’s round of Serie A results do not go their way.
