AC Milan Send Taiwo To Dynamo Kiev

The exodus from the San Siro continues with the news that AC Milan have sent defender Taye Taiwo to Dynamo Kiev on loan for a year with a view to a permanent move.

The Nigerian defender arrived at the Rossoneri from Marseille a year ago, but failed to convince coach Massimiliano Allegri of his worth to the side and he was sent out on loan to Queens Park Rangers for the second half of last season.

An appearance for Milan in a friendly tournament against Inter Milan and Juventus recently indicated that he may well find room in the side this season, but he has now left for another loan spell, this time in Ukraine.

“I know what qualities I have and I know that some clubs are interested in me,” he told Italy’s Sky Sport following his appearance against Juventus.

“I have never been able to show what I am capable of with Milan. I would love to play for a big club, but I don’t know if that will be possible, such is life.”

He arrives too late to help Kiev in their Champions League qualifier against Feyenoord on Tuesday night, but could subsequently be registered in their squad, should they reach the group stages of the competition.
