The off the field mind games between Inter Milan manager Jose Mourinho and Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti might be more enjoyable than the actual games between the two teams.
The two managers are quite open in their dislike for each other. When Ancelotti was at AC Milan the two managers clashed often and Ancelotti took a number of swipes at Mourinho in the autobiography he published last year, referring to the self-anointed Special One as ‘His Speciality’.
But two months after hearing Mourinho express a desire to return one day to Stamford Bridge, Ancelotti chose the week of their last-16 encounter at the San Siro to reignite their long-running feud.
Ancelotti told the Italian newspaper Il Giornale that that ‘everyone in Italy, except the Inter fans, will be supporting Chelsea’.
Instead of focusing so much on Mourinho, maybe Ancelotti should try and figure out who will be playing left back for Chelsea on Wednesday. Ashley Cole is already out as is Yury Zhirkov will did not travel to Milan because of a calf injury. Juliano Belletti was unable to fully participate in training on Monday because of a knee problem, which could mean that Chelsea are forced to play Florent Malouda at left back on Wednesday.
