Driving in the car yesterday and I was listening to ESPN radio. A commercial came on for Colin Cowherd and he was talking about soccer.
Cowherd is not a soccer fan and he mentioned that. But he said since the Confederations Cup, non-soccer fans have been suddenly talking about soccer, including him. He went on to say that the biggest game in U.S. history is August 12th away to Mexico, implying that the U.S. needs a win to keep the mainstream attention that the Brazil game has generated.
What do you think? Is Colin Cowherd right? Is the August 12th game versus Mexico the most important game in U.S. history for building up mainstream support for soccer?
