Bayern Munich’s first pre-season game in the USA is just a week away as the Bundesliga side will start their tour against Arsenal in Los Angels on July 17 before facing Real Madrid in Houston three days later. In their stateside trip, Munich will take on Milan in Kansas City on July 23.
The European giants will meet at NRG Stadium in Houston as they gear up for another lengthy season in multiple competitions. Robert Lewandowski, Gareth Bale, Luka Modric, and Thomas Muller are the marquee names pending they remain with their clubs.
In addition to that match, Real Madrid’s clash with Atletico Madrid on July 26 in MetLife Stadium will be the first Madrid derby outside of Europe. Other highlights include Real Madrid vs. Arsenal and Bayern Munich vs. AC Milan.
The teams involved in the US version of the International Champions Cup are Real Madrid, Arsenal, Roma, Bayern Munich, Atletico Madrid, Benfica and Chivas.
Bayern’s summer 2019 tour is their fourth on US soil since 2014. Niko Kovac’s team played in Philadelphia and Miami as part of last year’s Intercontinental Cup, where they lined up against Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus and Manchester City. Previous US destinations visited by the Bundesliga champions include Chicago, Charlotte, New York and Portland.
