According to ESPN FC, Liverpool will not sell Mohamed Salah this summer under any circumstances.
Salah has been brilliant this season for Liverpool scoring 36 goals in a superb debut season, including four in the 5-0 win over Watford on Saturday.
He has already scored more goals than any other Liverpool player in their first season, beating Fernando Torres’ total of 33 in 2007-08.
The 25-year-old striker has been compared to Lionel Messi by his manager, and is recent weeks has been linked with a move away from Anfield.
Salah’s fantastic season has caught the attention of the European elite like Real Madrid, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain, with all three reportedly wiling to smash the world record and pay £200million for the Egyptian strike ace
While Fenway Sports Group can leak to reporters that they will not entertain any offers for Salah this summer, their track record suggests otherwise.
FSG said the same about Luis Suárez before he was sold to Barcelona for £64.98 million in 2014 and then again earlier this season when they said that Philippe Coutinho would not be sold, only to sell him in January for £145m.
After paying £36.9 million for Salah in the summer to acquire him from Roma, could FSG really turn down the opportunity to make a £190m profit on the striker within 12 months.
History suggests that the Red’s American owners will not be able to turn that down.
If Liverpool receive a £200m offer for Salah this summer, do you think Fenway Sports Group will sell him?
