Arsenal Refuse To Sell Sanchez To Rival

According to media reports, Arsenal have told wantaway superstar Alexis Sanchez they will not cave in to his attempts to engineer a move to a Premier League rival this summer.

The Gunners remain determined to secure the Chile star on a new long-term contract but will be forced to sell their star player if he refuses to sign.

Sanchez’s representatives have explored moves to Manchester City and Chelsea in recent weeks with reports out of Chile suggesting that Sanchez has already agreed personal terms with Manchester City.

But after selling Robin van Persie move to Manchester United and lead them to their 20th league title, Arsenal are adamant they will not repeat that same mistake and sell Sanchez to another Premier League club.

That leaves Bayern Munich or Juventus as the South American’s most realistic escape routes if he leaves the Emirates this summer. The problem for Arsenal is that they while City and Chelsea are both willing to pay in excess of £45 million for Sanchez, Bayern and Juventus are looking to sign him for half that amount, due to the fact he has only 12 months left on hsi current deal.

Despite the tough talk from Arsenal about keeping Sanchez, the fact that the Gunners are being linked with some top strikers this season indicates that they are preparing for life after Alexis. And when that next striker is signed, then I expect to see Sanchez head to Germany to join Bayern Munich.

Where do you think Alexis Sanchez will be playing next season?
