Chelsea loanee Juan Cuadrado has said that he ‘did everything’ to force through his return to Juventus this summer.
The winger completed his long-anticipated transfer back to Italy on the final day of the transfer window, despite the wishes of boss Antonio Conte.
Conte wanted to keep Cuadrado in his squad at Stamford Bridge this season but the Colombian preferred a move back to Serie A, rejoining the Serie A champions on a three-year loan deal.
The Italians agree to a a loan fee of £4 million per season and another £8.4m should they wish to make the deal permanent
And it seems Cuadrado’s eagerness to come back was key to the move going through.
“I did everything to come back, and thanks to God I’m here. I’m very happy,’ he told JTV.
Cuadrado scored 5 goals in 40 appearances for Juventus last season and told the club how happy he was to be back in the famous black and white shirt.
‘It was exciting to see,’ he added.
‘To see the stands and the noise the fans make, I’m excited by the public’s support.
As before, I’m looking forward to getting back to business, working hard, improving my game and giving my all for the team.”
