It must be open season on Arsene Wenger these days, and the Arsenal boss is taking hits from an unlikely source – his players!
Last week goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny that he has learned more in four months of his loan spell at Roma than he did in 10 years at Arsenal.
Now Jack Wilshere has questioned Wenger’s decision to play him out of position for Arsenal. The 24-year-old has been played out wide for his club but plays in his more natural central midfield position for England.
‘With Arsenal I’ve been playing out wide, which is not me,’ Wilshere said. ‘I’m not a wide man, but Roy seems to have faith in me in the middle, so I’m happy with that.’
Now in Wenger’s defense, it as not as if he has seen a lot of Wilshere play. He appeared in just three games all season for Arsenal as he battled back from a fractured leg. If you go back to November 22, 2014, Wilshere has only made 9 appearances for the Gunners, and either has been substituted or been a substitute in every one.
