There have been whispers for weeks now that Manchester United have reached an agreement with Paris Saint-Germain star Zlatan Ibrahimovic about moving to the Premier League next season.
These whispers have now been confirmed by the French publication Le 10 Sport. Ibra is out of contract at the end of the season and reportedly the striker wants to play again for Jose Mourinho next season.
The duo worked together at Inter Milan some years ago and Zlatan said numerous times that he would love to reunite with his former manager. Some years back, he also revealed that Mourinho was the kind of manager worth ‘dying for’ and this explains the strong bond between the two outspoken superstars.
Even at 34 Ibrahimovic is still a world class player who has won a remarkable 12 titles in four leagues. Adding a Premier League title to his collection would be the icing on the cake for what has been a fantastic career.
While Ibra would be the biggest name to sign for United in years, the one trophy he has never won is the Champions League. If United don’t qualify for Europe next season, would that impact Ibra, and others, joining Mourinho?
Do you think that Ibrahimovic would be a good signing for United next season?
