According to a story on SI, Real Madrid has agreed on a $93 million fee with AC Milan for Brazilian star Kaka, according to Spanish radio station Cadena SER.
The 2007 FIFA World Player of the Year has been linked with a move to the Spanish giants for years, but with former president Florentino Perez once again taking control this week, speculation has reached fever pitch.
Now, sources in Spain report that the conditions have been agreed, and Cadena SER reports that the $93 million price tag has been agreed upon by all parties.
All that remains now are some personal matters to attend to with Kaka, who is set to earn $12.9 million a year ($250,000 a week) for the next five seasons.
The 27-year-old is on international duty this week as Brazil prepares to take on Uruguay in a World Cup qualifier this weekend, meaning that he cannot be present to physically sign a deal in Madrid for now.
Note that the price for Kaka is 93 million dollars, not euro’s. That is a significant discount over what Manchester City were willing to pay for Kaka in January.
I wonder what that means to the rumors of Ronaldo joining Real Madrid? Maybe he staying at Man United after all.
