According to reports out of Italy, Juventus have told Manchester United that they want €48m plus two United players, one of them Javier Hernandez, for Arturo Vidal.
CNN and BeIn Sport reporter Tancredi Palmeri broke the story on Twitter:
Palmeri reported that United are stepping up their attempts to sign the Chile international midfielder by offering somewhere between €45m and €48m (around £35.7m to £38.1m). But Juventus are now demanding that sum of cash plus two players, one of them ‘Chicharito’ Hernandez.
It follows on from Mexico Coach Miguel Herrera urging Hernandez to leave Manchester United for Juventus. Inter have been repeatedly linked with a swoop for the player, but Champions League football may well push him towards Turin instead.
Hernandez is one of seven players that United boss Louis van Gaal have reportedly told that they do not have a future at Old Trafford. Valued at around £15m, including Hernandez would push the value pf the deal to over £50m.
Is he worth that United fans?
