Big move by Mike Burns and the New England Revolution today as they acquired 20-year-old U.S. National Team forward Juan Agudelo for the black hole known as allocation money.
Agudelo blasted into the conscious of most soccer fans in November 2010, when as a 17-year-old he made his debut with the national team and scored the winner as the US beat South Africa 1-0.
In 59 career MLS appearances (33 starts) with the New York Red Bulls and Chivas USA, Agudelo has scored 11 goals and added six assists.
New England have struggled to score goals all season and the addition of Agudelo, to go along with Jerry Bengtson, Diego Fagundez and Saër Sène gives the Revs one of the best attacking foursomes in Major League Soccer.
