Hear from Jay Heaps, Jose Goncalves & Juan Toja regarding this week’s league match vs. the Philadelphia Union.
It’s rivalry week in Major League Soccer as New England heads to Philadelphia in search of their first ever win against the Union.
The Union won both meetings at PPL Park a year ago,but the Revs coming off the 1-0 win in Chicago, their first season opener win since 2009, go into this match healthy.
If New England is to get something from this match they will need another strong performance from Jerry Bengtson. Bengtson has the potential to be one of the best strikers in MLS, and he could be the difference between the Revs making the playoffs or falling short again.
THis is a very winnable game for the Revs, a phrase you don’t hear to often, and starting off the season 2-0 will give the team a lot of confidence heading home to their home opener next week against Sporting Kansas.
